We belong to the Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay Network of Charities, in which we participate as a recognized and prestigious organization, working for the benefit of disabled children and their families. We continue to strive at improving our services so that we can offer the highest levels of professionalism and training for our staff and volunteers.

We have been recognized as a Preferred Institution by local, municipal and state government.

In 2009 we received an award delivered by GAP (Pacific Airport Group) for our commitment to youth services in Puerto Vallarta.

We received the Altruism Award for services to the city in 2009. This Selfless Work Award recognized our great social assistance in our tourist destination on May 31, 2009.

We received a special award from the Vallarta Institute for services to the community in 2012.

In 2015, Yolanda Sánchez, founder of Pasitos de Luz, received the Woman of Excellence Award from the Women’s Institute, a department within the Puerto Vallarta Municipal Government.

In 2019, we were honoured to be nominated in the category of Best Community Charity in the Best of Banderas Bay & Riviera Nayarit Awards 2019-20. We were even more honoured to have won!

In light of her “superhuman effort and dedication, as well as her commitment to altruism”, Yolanda Sánchez in 2021 was nominated by TV Azteca for the “Citizen of the Year” award for the state of Nayarit. She ended up taking home the award!
