Meet Mia

3 years old · She loves singing, dancing, and giving hugs

Mia smiling at Pasitos de Luz

Put on some music, and Mia will be the first one moving. She is a cheerful, affectionate little girl who loves being around people, having songs sung to her, and joining any activity where she can move, smile, and show her enthusiasm.

Mia has a diagnosis of motor impairment, a condition that affects the development of her motor skills and limits her independence in some daily activities. That’s why she receives comprehensive therapeutic support to strengthen her mobility, coordination, and independence, always at her own pace.

What Mia Loves

Her Journey at Pasitos de Luz

Mia during an activity

At first: being apart from her mom was her first big challenge. During her first days, she cried when she arrived and again when it was time to go home, because the change of environment was hard for her.

Little by little: with support from our team and an environment full of love and trust, Mia began to feel safe. She left her fears behind and started enjoying her time with us and her daily activities.

Today: she takes part with more confidence, enjoys spending time with other children, and has found one of her greatest motivations in music. Singing and dancing let her express her joy and connect with the people around her. Through our comprehensive program, we continue strengthening her motor, cognitive, and social skills, and we’re by her side for every achievement.

Her family describes her as a very loving girl who shows her affection with hugs and kisses. Although she sometimes gets frustrated, she responds well when the adults around her offer support, and she keeps developing new skills every day.
