Evelyn came to Pasitos de Luz at 2 years of age. She has Cerebral Palsy and left hemiparesis with right visual weakness.
Evelyn, like so many of our little ones, entered Pasitos de Luz with low self-esteem due to her visual disability. She showed lack of muscle tone, had difficulty walking, incontinence, as well as low tolerance to loud sounds, and little or no sociability with adults.
Through our work together using different physical therapies, workshops in the classroom, and outdoor activities, she has learned to develop security and self-confidence, allowing her to socially intercact with her peers and new people, including adults!
Evelyn is now 4 years old and, after two years of working with us, she is now progressing all by herself. Her vocabulary has increased, and she has developed a taste for music and dance!
Pasitos de Luz is a civil association in Banderas Bay. It is a registered non- profit organization founded by mothers of disabled children to achieve their therapeutic, psychological, nutritional, educational and basic needs.
